A Salesforce Forward Deployed AI Engineer is a customer-facing technical builder who turns an ambiguous business problem into a secure, evaluated, integrated and adopted agentic solution on and around the Salesforce platform. The role begins before a complete requirement exists and continues beyond deployment — a Salesforce administrator can configure the platform, a developer can write Apex, an Agentforce specialist can configure agents. The FDE connects these capabilities around one consequential customer problem and remains accountable until the solution works in the operating environment.
